A while back I bought a hovercraft in Western Minnesota. The gentleman was a retired engineer that happen to be a farmer as well. After I bought my hovercraft and hitched it to the back of my truck, he said "Let me show you something". He walked me over to this interesting hovercraft. This was his hovercraft that he specifically built for ice fishing. The lake was not too far from his place but he got sick of trailering his hovercraft, so he put wheels on it, specifically it had hydraulic wheels that retracted when he would start the hovercraft up and fly across the lake. In addition, it had retractable walls that would go up or down when he was stopped and ready fish, providing him more space. He used a JC Whitney heater to keep it warm. It was amazing to see such a machine that was customized for exactly what he wanted and used it for.
